We forward your mail — we don't read it, profile you, or sell your data. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

MyMailAlias exists to give you a better email address without changing your inbox. To do that, we handle your mail in transit — but we treat it as yours, not ours.

We only collect what we need to run the service, protect your account, and forward your mail reliably. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your email for advertising or profiling.

We forward, we don't read. Message contents pass through our servers only to be relayed to your inbox.
No ad tech. No tracking pixels, no data brokers, no selling your information.
You stay in control. Export or delete your account data at any time.
02

Information we collect

We keep data collection deliberately minimal. The information we hold falls into three groups:

Account details. Your name, the destination inbox you connect. Your login is passwordless — we don't store a password at all. We authenticate you using a short-lived, single-use sign-in link sent to your email each time you log in.
Alias configuration. The handles and domains you claim, and where each one forwards to.
Operational metadata. Delivery logs (sender, recipient, timestamp, size) needed to route mail, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot. We do not store message bodies after delivery.
03

How we use your information

Everything we collect is used to operate and protect the service you signed up for — nothing more.

Delivering your mail. Routing messages from your alias to your connected inbox, and sending as your alias when you reply.
Securing your account. Detecting suspicious sign-ins, blocking spam and abuse, and maintaining reliability.
Service communication. Renewal reminders, security notices, and important changes to your alias — never marketing you didn't ask for.
04

When we share data

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the narrow circumstances below, and only to the extent necessary.

Any vendor we use is bound by contract to protect your data and use it solely to provide services to us.

Infrastructure providers. Trusted hosting and email-delivery partners that power forwarding on our behalf.
Legal obligations. When required by valid legal process — and we'll notify you unless legally prohibited.
Your instructions. Anything you explicitly ask us to share or connect.
05

Data retention

We keep account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. Delivery metadata is retained for a limited period — typically 7–14 days — for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, then deleted.

When you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

06

How we protect it

Security isn't a feature bolted on — it's how the service is built.

Encrypted in transit. Mail is relayed over TLS wherever the receiving server supports it.
Credentials protected. We don't use passwords for your MyMailAlias account — you sign in via a secure emailed link. We also never store your destination inbox password.
Audited practices. We follow security best practices and review our systems regularly, with a goal of formal compliance certification as we grow.
07

Your rights & choices

Wherever you live, you can exercise the following at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us:

Access & export. Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction. Update your account details or forwarding settings.
Deletion. Close your account and have your personal data erased.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service evolves or the law changes. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email or an in-app notice before it takes effect.
